upcoming events!!!!!

hey gang,
here are some upcoming events!
1. This Sunday the 23rd we are going to Open Door Mission and help with the soup kitchen that they have there. We are meeting at the church at 4:30 and will be back around 6:30 to go to Overdrive.

2. We are going skiing on the 6th of December. we will be going to Loveland ski resort. We are meeting at the church around 5:30 am and will be back around 7 pm. talk to Mark if you want to go because space is limited.

3. we will not be having the Highway on the 26th. because of Thanksgiving.

4. Whiteout is coming up!!!!!! It is in February 13th through the 16th!

5. We are having a night of worship on the 10th so come and worship with us!!!!

taboo: drugs

Mark interviews Deanna about her life on drugs and how she got away from it.

So this video ends kinda abruptly, but I want to say that what she was saying at the end may feel like some things that we may feel. I want to tell you that Jesus does love you, in the Bible, in one of my favorite verses it says,

9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son[b] into the world that we might live through him.

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins

1 John 4:9-10

We may feel "how could God love me" but I want to say that he does and also nothing that we can do will take that love away, in Romans 8 it says


38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[m] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.


God does love you and all we have to do is accept that love from our Father.

Here Mark Stiger is starting a new series called taboo. Tonight Mark is looking at the underlying theme of all of those questions that we see as taboo, that they shake up our world. the main verse that we looked at was Hebrews 12:25-29.

We will be starting a new series at the Highway next week, Feb. 13th, called Taboo.
